WE HAVE DONE INTENSE RESEARCH IN BLIND INSTITUTIONS TO FIND OUT ABOUT THEIR MAIN MOBILITY PROBLEM

Statistics

  • 4%
    Vision impairment worldwide
  • 18%

  • 92%
    Inaccessibility of cities

We focus on the problem.

We focus on upper-body obstacles!

As seen that mobility as a difficult issue to visually impaired, we had an idea to help them walk in our cities more safely.

When interviewing blind people, we discovered that this issue was very relevant to them, as they felt uncomfortable walking with canes, running the risk of accidentally hitting someone or even get hurt. They wished for something more unobtrusive, so you feel safe and more comfortable. So, we created the PAW Project: Smart glasses for the visually impaired with a focus on obstacle detection. The main idea is to promote the social inclusion of these people, giving more comfort and safety in their mobility.
